John"s Story

"Come on, John! Don"t be so damn stiff! It"s your birthday for crying out loud! "

John Anders sighed. He knew there was no getting out of this. He"d have to go into the "Edge" with his friends. "The Edge" was Baltimore"s premier night spot for gay men 21 and over. John had always been curious, but had never had the courage to set foot in there. Of course, with Rob, Dean, and Curtis forcing him in through the front doors, he had no choice - he was inside "The Edge" whether he liked it or not!

John was twenty-two and painfully single. He was a very dedicated law student and that may have had something to do with his lack of dates as of lately. The guys had called him on it several times, telling him he needed to "lighten up". Which was why they had brought him here. They all knew he was bisexual, but hadn"t yet discovered his "gay" side. So, Curtis, having been in a similar situation, convinced the very gay Dean and the straight Rob that this excursion was exactly what John needed. Now, here he was, in a gay strip club and he was being put on the spot.

Once inside, he took a look around. It was extremely crowded. John figured he could use that to his advantage.

"Wow! This place is packed! We"ll never be able to find a table. Maybe we should go for coffee or something instead," he ventured, wanting very much to get out of there.

"Nonsense! I reserved a table in honor of you, John, the birthday boy!" exclaimed Curtis cheerfully. "There it is!"

John wanted to sink into the floor when he saw the huge placard with his name splashed across it in bright, bold letters: "JOHN ANDERS".

A waiter approached them. "Are one of you guys John Anders?"

"Yes! This is John right here!" said Dean, slapping John on the back.

The waiter smiled at John, obviously eyeing him up and down. "Happy Birthday! I"ll be right back with your free drinks."

"Mm-hm...and maybe his number, too, eh John?" Curtis said, elbowing John in the ribs. As they settled into their seats, the lights dimmed even further and a voice announced the next dancer to take the stage. No one at their table was really paying attention, especially John who was trying not to look.

"Please, Curt, stop. It"s enough you guys brought me here in the first place!" griped a crabby John.

The guys had reserved a table right in front of the stage so John could have ample access to the dancers g-strings. If they expect me to stuff twenties down these guys drawers, they"re all crazier than I thought, mused John to himself.

Rob looked around, wincing beneath the admiring stares from some of the "The Edge""s horny clientele. He shook his head disbelievingly, as, unbeknownst to them, a slim red-haired young man came on stage in a beaded, harem-style get-up. Well, unbeknownst to all but John, who had looked up just as the young man had stepped out onto the stage.

"I can"t believe I let you talk me into this, Curt," complained Rob good-naturedly. "Good thing Tammy has such a good sense of humor, because if she didn"t, I"d be out on my ass!" Tammy was his girlfriend of two years.

Laughing, Dean joked back, "And you"d have plenty of guys wanting to pick that ass back up!"

When John didn"t laugh with them, Dean looked concerned. "Hey, John, you okay? You look like you"ve seen a ghost." John remained motionless, staring at the slim figure gyrating sensuously onstage. All three guys followed his gaze to the stage and saw for themselves what had John so transfixed.

The music then seemed to envelop them all as they watched the very nimble and flexible young man danced before them. The song was slow, sexy, and sung huskily in French. Intermittenly, the young dancer would remove a scarf-like piece of his costume, revealing even more of his bare, toned flesh. His abs were well-defined and his body appeared smooth and hairless. Only his eyes were visible, as the lower half of his face was covered with a thin red scarf. He had the prowess of a belly-dancer, swiveling his hips just so that it looked they had a mind of their own.

John couldn"t take his eyes off him. He didn"t know the first thing about that young man on stage, but he knew one thing for sure - he had to have him!

The evening was officially over as the four men stepped out of the club and into the cold night. Dean, Rob, and Curtis were chatting up a storm, the volume of their conversation intensified by the alcohol they had consumed that night. John was the designated driver, but he couldn"t have touched a drink that night anyway. Ever since he"d seen that first dancer, all he could think about was how he had moved, how he must feel...

After he had dropped his friends off, he was alone with his thoughts. He couldn"t get that dancer out of his mind! John wasn"t a spontaneous person by any means, but at that very moment, he had the strongest feeling of urgency - he had to get back to the club and he had to find that dancer NOW!

Completely out of character, John lurched forward as the light turned green and executed an illegal U-turn. He was going to get that dancer all to himself, if it was the last thing he did!

Jhett"s Story

Inside his dressing room at "The Edge", Jhett Ulrich sat at his vanity table, staring into the mirror, but not really seeing his reflection. He should have been gone already, but he actually had no where to go. He been renting a room a few blocks down in one of the slummiest areas of the city, but his landlord had been arrested and the entire building had been repossessed by the city this morning. He had no where to go now.

With his innocent, angelic face, and wavy red hair, Jehtt didn"t look the part of a male stripper - he looked like he belonged in high school. But, at eighteen, Jhett, a former foster kid, had aged out of the system this past summer and was now on his own. He had found a job here at "The Edge" but had a hell of a time convincing Gino, the owner, that he was a legal adult. Of course, now that Gino was convinced, he had been trying non-stop to get Jhett into his bed! He hadn"t slept with Gino, but at this moment, if it would guarantee him room and board, he just might have! However, Gino was out of town for the month and had left the care of the club to Lorenzo, his nephew who was also a dancer. Lorenzo did not like Jhett at all and Jhett knew that he could not confide his problem to Lorenzo.

So, here he was, all alone and at a complete loss as to what to do.
He sighed heavily. It was time for him to go before Lorenzo kicked him out. Maybe he could afford a hotel room for the week. He began to gather up what little possessions he had when he heard a knock at the door.

Without waiting for a response, Lorenzo opened the door, and eyed Jhett disdainfully, arms folded across his chest.

Jhett sighed (he did that a lot lately, he noticed). "I"m leaving, I"m leaving. No need to get pushy, Lorenzo."

A smirk crossed Lorenzo"s darkly handsome face. He"d been waiting all night for the opportunity to rub this in Jhett"s cute little face. "Where are you going to go? You"re building was repossesed by the city this morning and your landlord is incarcerated. You have no where to go."

Lorenzo"s cavalier attitude got the best of Jhett, who retorted, "You know, you don"t have to sound so happy about it, Lorenzo. You ever heard of Karma?"

The smirk left Lorenzo"s face and he responded menacingly, "Are you threatening me, Jhett? If my uncle found out-"

Jhett could feel his emotions boiling over and he no longer cared what came out of his mouth. "Oh, to hell with you and your damned uncle! I fucking quit!"

As soon as he said it, Jhett wished so badly he could take those words back. But he couldn"t and now he was officially screwed.

Lorenzo narrowed his eyes at the weary boy and smiled cruelly. "Fine, Jhett, have it your way." He tossed an envelope onto the ground at Jhett"s feet. "There"s the last of your pay. Now get the hell out!"

He watched Lorenzo walk out and fought back the urge to cry. He sank to the floor to recover his week"s pay, and probably the last bit of money he"d have to his name in a long time. He couldn"t fight the tears back any longer and they came rushing out of him in a torrent.

First time fellas

John and Jhett

John rapped on the office door at "The Edge". He knocked again, but go no answer. As he turned to go, he almost slammed into a tall, black-clad figure coming down the hallway.

Lorenzo looked at the guy, admiring the man"s wholesome good looks.

"You"ve come for a job, I suppose?" asked the dancer, a small smile playing upon his lips. If this guy wants a job, I"ll give him that and more, mused Lorenzo.

It didn"t occur to John that this man was flirting with him, and truthfully, at that point, it didn"t matter anyway. All John cared about was finding that dancer he"d seen earlier, and the sooner the better. He couldn"t explain the sudden urgency he was feeling; he had to get to that guy right away.

"No, I don"t want a job, but maybe you can help me anyway."

The smile remained on Lorenzo"s face, visions of bedding John dancing in his head. "I"d love to help you any way I can," he offered suggestively, taking one step towards the other man. "Tell me what you need and it"s yours."

"I was in here earlier with my friends, celebrating my birthday-"

"Happy birthday," purred Lorenzo.

"Um, yeah, thanks. Um, you see, I was in here earlier and there was this dancer onstage...he was slim, young, he had, um...red hair, I think? He was dressed in this almost middle-eastern-like costume..."

Lorenzo"s flirtatious demeanor vanished when he realized who this man was talking about - Jhett! That little bitch had done it again! He had lost count of the many men who came to the offices every night, inquiring about the dancer with the "red hair". They all wanted Jhett! Hell, the whole fuckin" world wanted Jhett! Why was this man any exception?

John sensed the change in the other man immediately. He no longer looked friendly and inviting, but dangerous and angry instead.

"He"s no longer with us. He quit tonight." Lorenzo shoved past John rather rudely and added snidely, " Too bad, so sad," slamming the office door in John"s face.

John was a bit taken-aback by the sudden change in the other man"s demeanor, not to mention getting a door slammed in his face. He was about to knock on the office door to give that tall bastard a piece of his mind when he heard a sound. It was a muffled sound, almost inaudible, but it was there.

Sniffling...it sounded like someone sniffling...which probably meant that someone was crying. Forgetting his real reason for being there, John started off down the hall to find the person who was obviously upset.

He came upon a room at the very end of the hall. There on the floor sat his mystery dancer, knees drawn up to his chest, his face in buried in his knees, his entire body racked with sobs. John"s heart broke at the sight of the disheveled and miserable young man. Throwing caution to the wind, he found himself at the boy"s side, cautiously placing a kind and gentle hand on his back.

"Hey...are you all right?" John whispered softly, so as not to scare the sobbing young man.

Jhett hadn"t even heard anyone enter the room. He looked up quickly to see who was there, tears streaming down his face. "Who the hell are you?"

John couldn"t breathe. The red-rimmed eyes and tear-stained face didn"t diminish the boy"s looks in the least - he was beautiful! John felt himself falling in love more and more by the second.

Jhett was a bit unnerved by the way John was staring at him, so he pulled away abruptly and stood up, repeating his question while wiping away the remains of his tear-fest.

"Who the hell are you? Can"t you talk?"

John cleared his throat, not sure what to say.

"I, uh....my name is John," he offered weakly.

"Well, John, if you"re looking for the office, you passed it up. It"s-"

"I know where it is. I already spoke to someone and got the door slammed in my face."

Jhett had to chuckle. "So, you met Lorenzo, huh? Ain"t he charming?"

"He"s a bastard. Once he realized that I wasn"t here to see him, he got pretty nasty."

Jhett studied John for a moment. He was about six feet tall with chisled, all-American good looks. His brown hair was cropped short and his brown eyes were warm. He had a sense of safety and security about him and Jhett felt himself relaxing in this stranger"s prescence.

Turning his attention back to gathering his meager belongings, Jhett replied, "Yeah, sounds like Lorenzo. So...why are you here? You often play Good Samaritan at three o" clock in the morning?"

"No, I...um...I came back to see you."

Jhett heard those words and felt rooted to the spot.

"You wanted to see me? Why? I"ve never met you."

"I know, but I was in here earlier with some friends. You danced and I"ve not been able to get you out of my head. I wanted to meet you." John paused before going on. Should he tell him that he not only wanted to meet him, but that he"d had felt the strongest urge that he had to come back? He decided to lay it all on the line.
"I had this feeling, a really strong feeling that I just had to get back here. So, here I am, and now I"m not sure what I"m supposed to do."

"So...what? Are you saying you felt compelled to come here?"

"Well, yeah...I mean, I just had to meet you, and I ...when I saw you dance...I just...I can"t express in words how you made me feel!"

Monster gay cocks

Jhett snorted derisively and shook his head disbelievingly. This guy was talking pure nonsense! He simply did not have the time to listen to it. Throwing his back pack over his shoulder, Jhett picked up his small suitcase and started for the door.

"Look...John, I"m flattered that I got you all hot and bothered, but, you know, that is my job- or,was my job, anyway...well, whatever, I gotta go."

"But I-"

"Listen, it"s just not a good time, okay? I need to get out of here before the son of darkness has me thrown out." Jhett relented a little when he saw the hurt in John"s kind eyes. "Maybe I"ll see you around or something, okay? But, right now, I really have to go."

"Wait, please. Where are you going? I can give you a ride. It"s freezing out there! At least let me do that much."

Jhett stopped at the door, looking dejectedly at his feet. That question: "Where are you going?". Jhett had no earthly idea where he was going. The seriousness of his predicament came rushung at him once more like ten-ton brick and Jhett felt a new wave of tears overcome him.He lost his grip on his back pack and it fell to the floor with a thud.

Between sobs, he managed to choke out, "I- I- I don"t know! I-"

John rushed to Jhett"s side and scooped the younger man up in his arms. Holding him close to his chest, John stroked the flaming red hair and tried his best to quiet Jhett"s racking sobs.

"Shhh...it"s okay. It"s okay. It"ll be all right..."

"No! No it won"t!" moaned a distraught Jhett. "It"s not okay! It will never be okay! I"ve lost everything and I don"t know what to do, John! I just...don"t know...what to...do!"

"What do you mean? What happened?" asked John, his voice full of concern. "What did you lose?"

Jhett pulled away and wearily sunk into a nearby folding chair, hanging his head in defeat. John knelt beside him and gingerly took one of Jhett"s hands in his own. John"s hands were so much bigger than his and Jhett began to calm down as he absorbed their warmth.

Choking back even more tears, he filled John in on everything that had happened, from being kicked out of his apartment building to his argument with Lorenzo. When he was finished, he fell silent, sure that John saw him for the loser he was. But, John didn"t see it that way at all. He finally seemed to understand what had drawn him there to Jhett that night - he and Jhett were soulmates! Jhett was in trouble and needed him. Now that he knew why he and Jhett had met, he knew exactly what he had to do.

Breaking the silence, John gently asked, "What is your name?"

"Huh? Does it matter?"

"Yes, it does. I want to know."

"Jhett. My name is Jhett. I"m an unemployed, homeless idiot that no one wants!"

"It"s ok. Don"t worry about a job right now. Everything is so hectic around Christmas. You can look for work after the holidays."

"What?", exclaimed Jhett indreduously. "Are you daft?! What in the hell am I supposed to do until then? Where am I going to stay?!"

"With me," came the answer. It was said so simply, so softly, but the impact was deafening. Had he heard John right? Was John offering him a place to stay?

Jhett chuckled humorlessly. "So what? You give me your couch for one night, and then what? Where do I sleep tomorrow night? Or the day after that, John?"

"With me," he pressed gently. "I"m not offering you just a place to sleep, Jhett, but a place to live. And after the new year, you can start looking for work."

Jhett shook his head, not ready to accept his good fortune. "B-b-b-but I don"t know you...you don"t know me! Why would you do something like that for a total stranger?"

"I don"t know, Jhett. I mean, at least I think I know, but I can"t explain it," John returned, usure of his words; he didn"t want to scare Jhett off. "I just need you to trust me, okay? What have you got to lose? You have no job, no home - so why not come with me?"

Jhett looked down at his shoes, trying to make up his mind. He had to admit that John was right, though. He had nothing, absolutely nothing, to lose. And the crazy thing was is that he did trust John. There was just something very comforting and secure about him; he had a quiet strength about him that Jhett found strangely appealing.

He met John"s expectant gaze and nodded his head in affirmation. "Okay," he decided. "You"re right. I"ll go with you."

John"s smile could have lit up the world. He was beaming from ear to ear as he led Jhett by the hand out of that God-forsaken club and away from that Satan-spawned Lorenzo. He was taking Jhett home with him, where he belonged.

Jhett was impressed when he saw the apartment building, located just below Federal Hill (one of the most affluent neighborhoods in downtown Baltimore), but once he was inside, he was completely blown away! This was no apartment - it was a condo!

"Whoa!" he breathed in amazement. "You don"t have any money, do you?"

John chuckled. "I got an inheritance when my grandmother passed away. I miss her, but I have to say that it came in handy for me, being a broke student with about a gazillion loans."

"You"re a student?" Jhett asked, raising his eyebrows. Just his luck - this guy was rich and smart! It would only be a matter of time before this guy kicked him out on his rear."What do you study?"

"Law. I"m in my first year."

Jhett didn"t think it was possible to feel any smaller that he already did, but it turned out he was wrong. He did feel smaller, and not just smaller, but poorer and more than stupid. He had never been adopted out to a loving family, had bounced from foster home to foster home, each place worse than the next, and in school he had maintained a straight C average. John would be sick of him in no time flat!

Sensing his discomfort, John took Jhett"s bags and carried them to a door off the living room. "Here, I"ll take those. I"ll put them in your room."

"I have my own room?!"

John found himself chuckling again. "Why? Did you think I"d make you sleep on the couch?"

"Well, yes - I mean, no. I meant...ah forget it! I can"t get my thoughts straight!

"You"re probably hungry. Can I get you something?"

"No, I think I"d better just go to bed." He motioned to the door John was returning from. "That"s my room there?"

"Yeah, that"s it..." John"s voice trailed off as he contemplated his next step.

"Okay, then...um, I think I"ll just..."

"Yeah..."

"...um, go get some sleep...". Jhett was caught off-guard by a glint in John"s eyes. He was up to something...

Jhett opened the door to his room and gasped. John had to be playing a trick on him. He turned to call for John but nearly slammed into him, as John was right behind him.

"This is your room!" burst Jhett.

The gleam in John"s eyes intesified, a quiet fire burning within him. "Correction...it"s our room!"

And suddenly, it was Jhett"s turn to understand - to understand why he had lost both his job and apartment, why John had been dying to meet him, and why John had shown up just as he was about to spend this winter night on the street...

Destiny, or fate, or whatver you want to call it, had brought them together...they belonged together!

Before Jhett even knew what was happening, John"s lips were upon his in a gentle yet passionate kiss, the likes of which neither had ever known!

When Jhett woke up the next morning, his face was buried in John"s muscular chest and their nude, intertwined bodies were being warmed by the late morning sun. John was still asleep and Jhett couldn"t help but stare at the face of his lover while he slumbered on. Last night had been a turning point for both of them - they had fallen in love and pledged their eternity to one another after having known each for mere hours. It was nuts, but at the same time it made sense. They were meant to be together and they had found each other. Jhett smiled. He could face anything now with John by his side. He knew now that he"d finally found the family he"d always wanted!
